Supreme Court Bar Admission

We have received the maximum amount of applicants for this admission. Thank you to all who applied. If you are interested in applying to the bar, our next date will be in June 2022 or you are able to apply on your own. Please contact the Admissions Office of the Supreme Court at 202-479-3011. 

Information on how to apply is below. 

To be considered for the Supreme Court Bar, you must be in good standing with your state’s bar and practicing for at least 3 years. If you meet this requirement, please complete the following applications:

  • Bar Admissions Form
    • Must be signed by two (2) sponsors
    • Sponsors must be members of the Supreme Court Bar who know you personally and are not related to you by blood or marriage
    • Other than the signatures, handwritten submissions will not be considered
  • Certificate of Good Standing from a presiding judge, clerk, or authorized official of the highest court of your bar admission (State, Commonwealth, District, Territory). 
  • Pay Admission Fee of $200.00
    • Checks must be made out to: “The Supreme Court of the United States” and dated the day of your admission.

Bar Admission Ceremony

GW Law’s Bar Admission Ceremony, tour, and lunch will be held on January 27, 2020, from 8 am to 2 pm Applicants will be allowed one guest to join them at the ceremony. Additional information about the event will be sent to those who apply.

Note: children under the age of 6 are not allowed in the Chambers.
