Alternative Dispute Resolution

The courses in this area explore the rapidly growing field of dispute resolution outside the courtroom. Lawyers have always resolved most of their clients’ disputes without trial, by negotiation and settlement. These courses formally train students in these and related dispute-resolution techniques. Negotiations, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Mediation are the foundation for all courses in this area.
