Learn how JD students can apply for financial aid.
If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you may apply for GW Law need-based grants and federal loans. You are ineligible to apply for need-based grants if you are a transfer student, joint BA/JD student, are receiving GW employee tuition benefits, or are the recipient of a GW Law Merit Scholarship in the amount of $20,000 or more.
Note: Joint JD/other GW graduate school degree students may apply for federal loans and GW Law need-based grants, but may not receive a grant for any semester in which they are enrolled exclusively in their other graduate program’s courses.
