Building Your Bar Exam Readiness

Bar prep at GW Law begins well before graduation. We embed bar content into the curriculum, offer a mid-program Bar Assessment with Multistate Bar Examination (MBE)-style questions, and provide an Advanced Legal Analysis course to build core study and test-taking skills. Students also benefit from simulated bar exams on campus through partnerships with leading prep providers.

Mentoring and Tutoring Support

We know that sometimes the best advice comes from those who've been there. Our Bar Success Office administers a bar mentoring program that connects you with alumni and volunteers who offer invaluable advice and support. We also help link graduates with tutoring services specifically designed to target areas where you might need extra help during bar study.

Financial Support

We understand that studying for the bar can be financially stressful. Our team helps administer GW's loan and bar exam grant program for graduates, working to alleviate some of these financial pressures.

Additional Resources: Law Library Access for Alumni

The Jacob Burns Law Library remains open to all GW Law alumni and offers an excellent study environment for the bar exam. For instructions on using the library after graduation, visit the Jacob Burns Law Library Services webpage.
