Alumni Named Recipients of 2017 Outstanding Academic Achievement Award

Three May 2017 graduates, Tom Daley, Elizabeth Urrutia, and Lisette Washington, have been recognized by the D.C. Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) with the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. GW Law took home first, second, and third place prizes in this prestigious award category, recognizing students in academic programs related to the field of acquisition in the Washington, D.C., area. The NCMA—similar to GW Law's Government Procurement Law Program—has been in existence for nearly 60 years. It is a professional organization committed to the professional growth and educational advancement of members of the procurement and acquisition fields. Ms. Washington remarked that getting the award "was an honor … I am also motivated to get more involved and make many more contributions to the field in the near future."
