Anand B. Patel is a trial attorney in the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section at the Department of Justice, focusing on trade secrets and cybercrime investigations and prosecutions. Before joining the DOJ, he was an intellectual property litigator at Paul Hastings. There, he handled all facets of disputes involving trade secrets, employee mobility, and economic espionage, and routinely led internal investigations and compliance reviews for domestic and international clients. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable William C. Bryson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before law school, Mr. Patel spent three years as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, specializing in computer architecture applications.
