Celebrating Faculty Scholarship

On September 14, GW Law held its second Dean's Scholarship Retreat. The goal of the Retreat is to recognize and celebrate the outstanding scholarship of the GW faculty. The "event demonstrated the dynamic intellectualism of GW Law," explained GW Law Dean Blake D. Morant. The Retreat not only explored various forms of scholarship, ranging from book publishing to blogging to writing briefs to electronic journal publishing, but it also allowed faculty members to discuss ongoing scholarship and receive feedback. The Retreat drew many members of the GW faculty, and it was facilitated by the law school's Intellectual Life committee. GW was recently ranked #16 among law schools for its scholarly impact.
