Christopher W. Savage is a partner in the Technology, Communications, Privacy & Security practice at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP, and holds CIPP/US and CIPT certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. His practice centers on assisting companies in communications- and data-centric industries navigate legal and regulatory issues involving communications, privacy, and data security. Mr. Savage's work includes litigation in federal court and at administrative agencies, regulatory and legislative strategy, advocacy in rule-making and other informal agency proceedings, advising and assisting on a range of regulatory compliance issues, and assistance with data breach response. He has served as co-Chair of Davis Wright’s Communications Practice Group, as a member of its Information Technology Steering Committee, and as a member of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Mr. Savage's scholarly work has appeared in the Media Law Resource Center Bulletin, the Antitrust Bulletin, and, most recently, the Stanford Technology Law Review, which published his article "Managing the Ambient Trust Commons: The Economics of Online Consumer Privacy", 22 Stan. Tech. L. Rev. 95 (2019).
