Darrell G. Mottley worked as an engineer, project manager, and engineering chief for the AAI Corp.; U.S. Army Belvoir Research and Engineering Development Center; and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. He also served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force. Since 2000, he has practiced in the Washington, DC, office of intellectual property law firm Banner & Witcoff, Ltd. He provides strategic intellectual property law counseling in design patent, patent, copyright, and trademark cases, including opinions, licensing, and litigation. Mr. Mottley is a member of the Council of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law. He is also a past president of the District of Columbia Bar, where he emphasized access to justice and pro bono services. Mr. Mottley is editor-in-chief of Landslide, the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section magazine. He is also a contributing author of the Annual Review of Intellectual Property Law Developments and the Public Contract Law Journal, both publications of the American Bar Association.
