Eric Nguyen

Eric Nguyen is Chief Counsel on the Democratic staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. From 2022 to 2025, he served as Deputy General Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Before joining Treasury, Mr. Nguyen spent five years at the Department of Justice - first in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and then as senior counsel to the Deputy Attorney General. He previously served in the White House Counsel’s Office from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in his career, in addition to working at two law firms, Eric clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for Justice Kennedy on the Supreme Court.
