Frank Lin is Trust & Safety Counsel at Discord. Before joining Discord, Mr. Lin spent nearly fourteen years in government service, with over a decade as Senior Counsel at the United States Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. There, Mr. Lin served as one of the nation’s subject matter experts on cybercrime prosecutions and electronic evidence gathering authorities. He has prosecuted some of the nation’s most prolific large-scale data breaches, online organized crime, ransomware attacks, and cyberstalking schemes. Mr. Lin was also Deputy Chief of Staff to Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco.
Mr. Lin was previously an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He also clerked for Chief Justice Mary Fairhurst at the Washington Supreme Court.
