Mr. Ramos brings over two decades of litigation experience to the classroom, combining expertise from his roles as a federal prosecutor, AmLaw 50 partner, and senior corporate counsel at a Fortune 100 company.

As an Assistant US Attorney in the District of Columbia for almost six years, Mr. Ramos led 19 jury trials and more than 30 bench trials, prosecuting complex cases involving financial crimes, human trafficking, and violent offenses. Mr. Ramos also served for one year as the Office’s Fourth District Community Prosecutor, where he partnered with the community, law enforcement, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to implement proactive problem-solving approaches to address criminal justice challenges and improve the quality of life for the residents of the Fourth District. His work Fourth District Community Prosecutor work exemplified his commitment to using collaborative and innovative means to resolve complex challenges. While at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mr. Ramos received numerous awards, including a commendation from the United States Secret Service for his work on a counterfeiting investigation.

Mr. Ramos also spent 17 years in the private sector, mainly as a partner at DLA Piper and Morgan Lewis, and as an Assistant General Counsel with Pfizer. During that time, Mr. Ramos’ practice focused on white-collar litigation, government and internal investigations, and compliance counseling. While in private practice, Mr. Ramos represented pharmaceutical, healthcare, and financial services clients in complex government and internal investigations that often resulted in global resolutions with government enforcement agencies. Mr. Ramos started his legal career as a litigation associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson.

Mr. Ramos is currently a Managing Director in the Washington, DC, office of Major, Lindsey & Africa in the Partner Practice Group, where he leverages his unique perspective to advise law firm partner candidates and law firms on navigating the lateral market and identifying opportunities for growth and strategic advancement.

Mr. Ramos graduated from Cornell University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1997 with a Juris Doctorate.
