Dean Dillard is instrumental in the administration and review process for one of the nation’s largest law school applicant pools. Prior to his current role, he advised students in various capacities in the law school's Admissions and Dean of Students offices for over a decade, including as Director of Admissions and Director of Student Academic Services. He has served on the Dean’s Strategic Planning Committee and as Professorial Lecturer in Law for Introduction to the 1L Classroom.

Dean Dillard has held leadership roles in national law school organizations, including as current Chairperson of the Standing Program Committee for the Association of American Law Schools Section on Pre-Law Education & Admission to Law School. He has also served on the Law School Admission Council's Schools & Candidates Standing Committee and Misconduct & Irregularities Subcommittee, and as a faculty member for the LSAC Newcomers Working Group. In addition, Dean Dillard was the law school representative on the Board of the Northeastern Association of Pre-Law Advisors. He has presented at many universities and LSAC forums, and served as a panelist for the Pre-Law Advisors National Council, the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors, the Pacific Coast Association of Pre-Law Advisors, and the Southern Association of Pre-Law Advisors. Prior to coming to GW Law, he was a case manager in the Washington office of Covington & Burling.

Dean Dillard’s engagement with the George Washington University community includes participation in the GW Academic Leadership Academy (forthcoming) and service in the Workplace Flexibility Discussion Group.
