Mikayla Sherman is an adjunct professor in the Fundamentals of Lawyering (FL) program. Ms. Sherman is also currently an associate in King & Spalding's Washington, DC office and a member of the firm's Special Matters and Government Investigations practice. Her practice focuses primarily on government investigations, internal investigations, administrative adjudications, and white-collar criminal and civil litigation. Ms. Sherman has experience representing companies and individuals on matters before the Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

Ms. Sherman earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School, where she graduated with honors, served as the Volume 91 Senior Articles Editor for the George Washington Law Review, and was a member of both the GW Law Moot Court Board and the GW Law ADR Board. As a member of GW’s Criminal Defense and Justice Clinic, she prepared for and won a trial for indigent clients.

Prior to law school, Ms. Sherman attended the College of William and Mary, where she earned her BA in International Relations with a Minor in the Arabic Language. She further developed her language and writing skills as a Program Assistant at the Department of State before attending law school.
