William P. Atkins

Mr. Atkins has more than 30 years of intellectual property litigation experience, much of it at a large law firm before he co-founded Cushman Partners LLC in Washington, DC. An experienced first-chair trial lawyer, he has obtained recoveries exceeding $150 million for clients and successfully defended clients against claims seeking more than $250 million. Mr. Akins is Editor of the PTAB Handbook (all nine editions) and Co-Editor of the ABA's Patent Litigation Strategies Handbook (Fourth and Fifth Editions). He is a past President of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia and active in many other bar associations.
