Giovanna E. Gismondi is a law professor and scholar specializing in international environmental law, human rights, climate change law, and international investment law. Her scholarship examines the intersection of environmental protection, human rights, and international economic law, as well as emerging developments in climate accountability.
She is the author of International Environmental Law and Human Rights in Investment Treaty Arbitration: Reshaping International Investment Law and coauthor of International Investment Law and Arbitration: History, Modern Practice, and Future Prospects. Her recent scholarship concerning environmental rights and climate accountability has appeared in the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law.
Professor Gismondi has extensive experience teaching international law, human rights, and environmental law. She previously served as Visiting Associate Professor of Law and Environmental Law Program Fellow at The George Washington University Law School, where she taught International Environmental Law and Human Rights and Environmental Protection.
