Tazia Statucki is an Associate in the Private Investment Funds Group at Proskauer Rose LLP, where she focuses on regulatory and compliance matters affecting private funds and their advisers. She draws on extensive experience in securities regulation, financial services, and cross-border matters gained through her prior roles in government and private practice.

Ms. Statucki previously served as a Senior Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where she advised on regulatory and enforcement matters in both the Office of the General Counsel and the Office of International Affairs. She has also practiced at global law firms, where she worked on regulatory, compliance, and enforcement-related matters within the financial services industry.

At GW Law, Ms. Statucki brings her regulatory background and advocacy experience to her work, training and mentoring law students. She has developed and implemented tailored coaching programs that have produced notable competitive success, including leading a student team to first place in the Spanogle International Commercial Arbitration Competition. She has also mentored students in advanced legal research, case analysis, and oral advocacy, including one student who earned Best Oral Advocate honors in an advocacy competition. Her individualized approach helps students strengthen their analytical and professional advocacy skills.
