Brian Privor is a Managing Director and the Global Head of LP Communications at Blackstone. Before joining Blackstone, he spent five years as the chief regulatory officer of Ultimus Fund Solutions and as the president of Ultimus’ compliance subsidiary. From 2017-2018, Mr. Privor served as Senior Counsel to the US Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein. He was responsible for investigating Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and related financial crimes. He previously served as a senior counsel with the Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement, Asset Management Unit.

Before joining the SEC in 2010, Mr. Privor worked for eleven years in the litigation practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. His practice focused on a broad range of state and federal complex litigation, corporate investigations, and criminal defense matters. Mr. Privor also served six months pro bono as a Public Defender in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis in 1999, Mr. Privor served as a law clerk to Judge Martin L.C. Feldman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans.

Mr. Privor received his JD, cum laude, from Harvard University Law School in 1998. He received his BA, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in philosophy and intellectual history from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1995.
