Robert B. Pincus
Robert B. Pincus began his legal career at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission--Division of Corporation Finance, where he reviewed corporate disclosure documents and was involved in rule making proceedings in the Division’s Office of Disclosure Policy. In 1983, he became a corporate associate in the Wilmington, Delaware office of Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom, and helped to develop their corporate and M&A practice.
Mr. Pincus became a partner at Skadden Arps in 1988 and continued to practice at the firm until his retirement in 2018. Mr. Pincus’ practice involved the representation of clients in a wide variety of corporate transactions, including public and private acquisitions and dispositions, private equity investments, corporate recapitalizations and spin offs. His practice also included advising clients and other lawyers at Skadden Arps on Delaware law aspects of transactions and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Pincus led the corporate practice in Skadden Arps’ Delaware office for over 25 years and was repeatedly selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and The Best Lawyers in America.
