Samuel B. Boxerman is a partner in the environmental practice group of the Washington, D.C., office of Sidley Austin LLP. Before joining Sidley, he was a trial attorney in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the U.S. Department of Justice where he litigated civil enforcement cases under CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Clean Water Act, and Clean Air Act. He also served as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. At Sidley, Mr. Boxerman handles civil litigation, primarily arising under federal environmental laws. He also counsels clients on compliance with environmental laws and on how to implement environmental management systems under the ISO 14001 standard. A 1986 graduate of Harvard Law School, Mr. Boxerman clerked for the Honorable Bernard M. Decker, Senior U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.
