About Mr. Calloway

Charles Calloway is an associate in Chapman and Cutler’s Corporate Finance Department. His practice includes representation of financial institutions and other businesses in connection with domestic and international direct placements of senior and subordinated debt in secured and unsecured financings including real estate, public utilities, sports finance, and general corporate financings. In these recent financings, issuers and guarantors, and entities providing credit support included domestic entities, as well as entities from Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Some of his recent experience also includes representing the term note purchasers in the “league-wide” financings for the NFL and MLB.  Mr. Calloway has also represented the term note purchasers in a number of stadium financings in the United States which include Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium, TD Ameritrade Boston Garden, Mercedes Benz Atlanta Falcons Stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, and the newly constructed Las Vegas Raiders Allegiant Stadium. Currently, he is the co-editor of the American College of Investment Counsel’s monthly publication Private Notes, and serves on the board of directors of SPARK, Inc, a national mentorship program for middle school students in underserved communities, and the Chicago Humanities Festival, a foundation which organizes an annual series of lectures, concerts, and films exploring the humanities. Mr. Calloway was recently selected by the Chicago Urban League as a 2021 Fellow of its Impact Leadership Development Program and has served on the Business and Finance Advisory Council of the George Washington University Law School since 2018.
