Stephen Mortellaro is a civil rights attorney licensed to practice law in Maryland. As an Election Counsel at Project Vote, Mr. Mortellaro worked to enforce the National Voter Registration Act, advocate for election legislation, and manage voter education projects. He also served on the Montgomery County Right to Vote Task Force from 2013 to 2015. In addition to his work in voting rights law, Mr. Mortellaro served as a Policy Associate for the Montgomery County Renters Alliance and worked as an educational and environmental policy advocate in Florida.

He graduated with his JD from GW Law in 2013, and he returned two years later to complete an LLM degree with a focus on civil rights and political law.
