Suzanne Hard

Suzanne Hard provides strategic direction, oversight, and management of the professional development and career strategies team. Dean Hard is responsible for all of GW Law’s Career Center services and activities, as well as relations between the Career Center and the many constituencies of the law school.

Before coming to GW, Dean Hard served as director of the University of Connecticut School of Law Center for Career Development and led a team of counselors to deliver a curriculum of professional development programming. She also developed, planned, and supported recruiting programs and cultivated relationships with alumni and employers.

Previously, Dean Hard held multiple roles at the Connecticut Bar Association, including director of education and section programming, director of communications, and co-interim executive director. She has also served as an associate professor of legal studies at Post University, where she taught undergraduate courses in environmental law, administrative law, business law, legal research, real estate, and intellectual property.

Dean Hard's earlier legal career included tenure as an attorney with Cohen, Burns, Hard & Paul and as an associate attorney with Hogan & Hartson.
