"We hope it begins a lifelong commitment to volunteering a small portion of your time and legal skills to serve others. [The Class of 2023] should be very proud of what [they] accomplished," said David M. Johnson, Assistant Dean for Pro Bono & Advocacy Programs; Professorial Lecturer in Law.

In a truly outstanding effort, 170 students in the Class of 2023 volunteered 54,212.78 pro bono hours. Not only were their legal services provided free of charge, but they didn't receive any other compensation, such as credits, funding, etc. Students who contributed 50 or more hours, will be awarded at this year's Pro Bono Recognition Celebration on Saturday, May 20.
