GW Law Fall 2024 Roundtable
GW Law Fall 2024 Roundtable
Delaware Business Courts as a Public Good
Friday, October 25, 2024 | 8 am - 4 pm
Jacob Burns Moot Courtroom
George Washington University Law School | Washington, DC
Delaware courts offer a public good — interpretive network benefits in the form of judicial decisions. These decisions serve as a deterrent for bad business behavior as well as provide guidance and reduce uncertainty for companies and legal practitioners. As a trusted forum for dispute settlement, Delaware courts provide greater stability for capital investment. This Roundtable will explore this idea and emerging topics facing Delaware’s business courts and companies. The day will consist of three expert panels and a special conversation with the Honorable Kathaleen St. J. McCormick, Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery.
