Sophia Sim

Senior Associate Dean of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Enrollment

Dean Sim is a seasoned leader in legal education and admissions, with active roles in the American Association of Law Schools (AALS) and the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). She has contributed to key committees focused on assessments, diversity, and global admissions, and frequently speaks at national conferences. Prior to joining GW Law, she held leadership roles at Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Maryland, bringing decades of experience in academic administration and admissions strategy.

Matthew Dillard

Matthew D. Dillard

Assistant Dean of Admissions

Matthew has been the Director of Admissions at GW Law since 2019. Before his current role, Matthew advised students in various capacities in the law school's Admissions and Dean of Students offices for over a decade. He has served the legal education community in numerous capacities, including through service on the Law School Admission Council's Schools & Candidates Standing Committee, the Misconduct & Irregularities Subcommittee, and the Newcomers Working Group. He also served as the law school representative on the Board of the Northeastern Association of Pre-Law Advisors. At GW Law, Matthew has served as the sole staff member of the Dean's Strategic Planning Committee and on the Dean's Staff Service Committee. A first-generation student, Matthew was drawn to work in admissions because it combines his interests in counseling students individually and assembling classes that will broaden legal representation through a range of experiences, backgrounds, and interests. Matthew graduated from Vassar College and GW Law and is a member of the GW Lambda Law Alumni Association. His favorite spots in DC include The Phillips Collection art museum and Hillwood Museum and Gardens.

Jess Goodman

Associate Director of Admissions

Jess is the Associate Director of Admissions at the George Washington University Law School, where she brings a student-centered approach to guiding prospective law students through the admissions process. A graduate of Lafayette College (2019) and Duquesne University School of Law (Class of 2023), she combines firsthand legal education experience with a passion for mentorship and higher education access. Before joining GW Law, Jess worked in recruitment for a leading search firm specializing in placements for nonprofits and philanthropic foundations. This background honed her ability to identify talent, foster meaningful connections, and champion mission-driven work. Jess is committed to empowering students and creating inclusive, supportive pathways into legal education.

Andrew Vogt

Andrew Vogt

Assistant Program Director

Andrew has been supporting students throughout the student lifecycle at GW Law since 2012, after resettling in the States following service in the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan. He has an MA in Writing from DePaul University and an MA in Education and Human Development from GWU. He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, and two young kids, who are determined he doesn’t get much sleep.

Ketty S. Nakitto

Manager, Admissions and Financial Aid

Ketty joined the Admissions team in February 2015 and received her master's in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student Affairs in May 2017 from GW. Ketty’s interest in the higher education field was sparked during her time in undergrad, where she held a work-study job in the on-campus housing department and became a resource for her fellow students. In addition to managing the daily operations of the office, Ketty enjoys meeting with students on campus and across the US at various law fairs. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels (adding to her ever-growing home library collection), trying out new food recipes, and exploring new brunch spots around the DC area.

AnnLauren Djoko

Admissions Coordinator

AnnLauren joined the Admissions team in 2026 and received her BA from Washington University in St. Louis. During college, she worked as a Bear Ambassador, where she enjoyed welcoming prospective students and their families to campus and helping them learn more about the university. Those experiences sparked her interest in helping students navigate important milestones. Outside of work, AnnLauren enjoys exploring DC, hiking, spending time at the beach, singing, and trying new restaurants.

Simone Harris

Admissions Coordinator

Simone joined the Admissions team in 2026 and received her Master of Human Resource Management (August 2026). Her interest in higher education began while working in undergraduate admissions at the University of South Carolina, where she discovered a passion for helping students navigate the college admissions process and achieve their educational goals. She enjoys helping applicants navigate the admissions process and learn more about the opportunities available at GW Law.

Chris Pollard

Director of Financial Aid

Chris joined the GW Law Admissions and Financial Aid Office in September 2016 as the assistant director of financial aid and was promoted to director in April 2022. Helping students gain access to higher education has been his passion since he began working in financial aid as a Student Customer Service Representative at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the spring of 2006. For the 2023-2024 academic year, Chris will serve on GW’s University Integrity and Conduct Council (UICC). Chris has previously served as a Representative-At-Large Board Member for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (2022-2023), Federal Relations Committee Chair (2019-20) for the DE-DC-MD Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, NASFAA Graduate and Professional Caucus Chair (2019-2021), and has served on several committees and task forces in his regional and state associations. Chris also represents the Graduate School of Education and Human Development in the GW Student Association (SA) as a senator; he is currently a doctoral student in the Higher Education Administration (EdD) program at GW.

Nate White

Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Nate joined the GW Law Admissions and Financial Aid Office in July of 2022. Nate’s interest in student finance was sparked during his undergraduate years when he began working in a student accounts office and has only grown since. Over the years of working in the financial aid field, Nate has developed a passion for reducing student debt and ensuring that students are educated and empowered to control their finances. In his free time, Nate can be found exploring DC with his dog or trying new cooking techniques at home.

Emery Matta

Senior Financial Aid Counselor

Emery joined the Financial Aid team and received her master's in Higher Education Administration from GW in May 2026. Emery’s interest in higher education started when she was an orientation leader and enjoyed being a bridge for students during their transition to college. She continued to work around campus to become familiar with higher education and knew she had a passion for this field. Prior to working with the financial aid team, Emery worked as a Student Service Specialist at the Hub at GW for several years. Emery enjoys meeting with students about their financial aid and connecting them to other resources. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, painting, and working out.

Financial Aid Assistant

Darshani joined GW Law in August 1999. Darshani assists current and prospective law students with their financial aid inquiries in addition to processing financial aid. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and two cats.
