Professor Re-elected to District of Columbia Council

On November 6, 2018, Mary M. Cheh, the Elyce Zenoff Research Professor of Law, was re-elected in a landslide victory for a fourth four-year term on the District of Columbia Council. On the same day, she became a first-time grandmother. The swearing-in ceremony took place on January 2, 2019.

Professor Cheh represents Ward 3 and is currently the Chair of the Committee on Transportation and the Environment. At GW Law, she teaches constitutional law and criminal procedure.
