Kevin Coleman is an associate attorney in Covington & Burling LLP’s White Collar Defense and Investigations practice. Mr. Coleman represents institutions and individuals in sensitive and high-profile government and internal investigations involving allegations of corruption, fraud, employee misconduct, and similar white-collar matters.  Mr. Coleman also advises clients on compliance issues arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and has experience conducting risk assessments, compliance program assessments, and assisting multinational companies in developing and enhancing anti-corruption compliance programs.  Mr. Coleman also maintains an active pro bono practice representing clients in criminal defense and civil rights matters.

Prior to joining Covington, Mr. Coleman was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Gabriel W. Gorenstein in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Coleman graduated with highest honors from GW Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the George Washington Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, a Writing Fellow, and a Dean’s Fellow.  As a law student, Mr. Coleman was also awarded “Best Brief” in GW Law’s annual Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.  Mr. Coleman earned his BA at Mitchell College, where he served as Student Body President.
