Alyssa M. Johnson is Professorial Lecturer in Law at the George Washington University Law School, where she teaches a practicum course on International Women's Human Rights Law.
In private practice, Ms. Johnson is an experienced litigator at the international law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. Her diverse practice includes a focus on anti-corruption matters, securities enforcement, and government and internal investigations.
Ms. Johnson also provides extensive counsel to clients in international human rights and immigration matters. Most recently, she was part of a team that represented Brisa De Angulo before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in a case that challenged States' obligations to prevent and prosecute sexual violence.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Johnson worked at the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization, RAINN.
