Join the Government Procurement Law Program and the Master of Sciences in Government Contracting Program as they host the Honorable Anne Rung, Administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) at the Office of Management and Budget. This event will be moderated by Professor Michael Garland of the the George Washington University School of Business.

Anne Rung and the Federal CIO Tony Scott have ambitiously and aggressively promoted new policies to reduce waste in the more than $50 billion the Federal Government spends annually on Information Technology (IT). Commercial software accounts for at least $5B of the annual spend. Likewise, Laptops and Desktops account for about $1B. Come hear Anne Rung discuss recent attempts to implement category management disciplines on Commercial Software and laptop and desktop computers in order to reduce wasteful procurement inefficiencies and to drive better leverage and negotiating power for the Federal Government.
