In October, GW Law’s Government Procurement Law Program hosted the three-part series, Intelligent Automation in the U.S. Federal Procurement System, featuring experts who discussed how emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, and analytics, have been used to improve the efficiency and integrity of government procurement processes.

The series attracted more than 450 registrants, including government officials, academics and practitioners from around the world. Jessica Tillipman, Assistant Dean for Government Procurement Law, explained that the series was designed to address the following questions: “What is the U.S. government doing with these emerging technologies; how is this transforming the federal procurement system; how are these technologies transforming processes, and how is this transforming the procurement workforce?”

All session recordings are available on GW Law Government Procurement Law Program’s YouTube channel. Additionally, the series includes a curated collection of intelligent automation research resources to provide students and practitioners with background information on this important topic.
