GW Law's Clinical Program Launches Advisory Council to Shape Support Growth and Innovation

In April 2023, the Clinical Law Advisory Council held its inaugural meeting. The Council will support the Clinical Program’s growth and innovation over the next 50 years and beyond. Law School and Clinic leadership, faculty, and students addressed the Council in April to provide an overview of the Clinic’s vision, its program, and its role in the Law School’s mission. Council Co-Chairs Deborah (Goldenberg) Orlove (GW Law '91) and Basel Musharbash (GW Law '18) shared their vision for the Council and sought input from other members.

The Clinical Program is in a period of unprecedented growth – having launched five clinical offerings in the last year alone and hired two new tenure-track faculty members. “GW’s Clinics have never been in more demand by students, with Clinic applications having increased by more than 50% over the last five years. There is no more important time in the history of our nation and our Law School to grow the Clinics,” said Dean Laurie Kohn.
