Justice Antonin Scalia was an intellectual giant who left his mark not only on the Supreme Court, but also on how we discuss and interpret the Constitution. He supported GW over the years: he spoke on campus several times, including a 2013 celebration of Constitution Day; judged the Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in 2009; and counted friends among members of our community.

On Monday, Feb. 22, two members of the GW Law community who clerked for Justice Scalia, Professor Bradford Clark and alumnus Jonathan Bond, JD '08, participated in a discussion titled "The Legal Legacy of Justice Antonin Scalia." Professors Gregory Maggs, Paul Schiff Berman, Stephen Saltzburg, Orin Kerr, and Maeva Marcus also served on the panel, moderated by Susan L. Karamanian.
