Strengthening the Voice of the Hispanic Legal Community

Jessica Sanchez

Second-year law student Jessica Sanchez was appointed to the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Law Student Division, as Region V President. The HNBA is a nonpartisan, national organization that represents the interests of Hispanic attorneys, Judges, law professors, law students, and other legal professionals across the country. Region V of the HNBA covers the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Jessica is also an active member and on the executive board of GW’s Latino Law Student Association (GW-LLSA), which represents the interest of Hispanic law students.

Jessica is a first generation Cuban-American from Miami, Florida. She joined HNBA to contribute to the organization that has been an influential resource to her thus far in law school. During her tenure, Jessica hopes to support student opportunities offered by the HNBA, and connect Latina/o law students throughout the Region with the HNBA community. Her mission is to be a resource to law students throughout her region and further the mission of the HNBA – to strengthen and increase the underrepresented Latin community in the legal field.
