Alexander O. Canizares is a Partner with Perkins Coie focusing on government contracts litigation and investigations and related counseling. Mr. Canizares previously served as a Trial Attorney in the Department of Justice, where he represented the United States in government contracts and other cases. Prior to joining the Department of Justice, he was an associate at Covington & Burling in Washington. He was also a law clerk to Hon. Robert G. Doumar in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Norfolk after graduating from the George Washington University Law School. Mr. Canizares is a vice-chair of the American Bar Association’s Public Contract Law Section’s (PCLS) Contract Claims and Disputes Resolution Committee and a vice-chair of the Federal Circuit Bar Association’s Government Contracts Committee.
