Alumna Jayna Marie Rust, JD ‘13, Honored With APABA-DC’s Rising Star Award

Jayna Marie Rust, JD ‘13, was selected as one of the 2018 recipients of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Greater Washington, DC’s Rising Star Award. The Rising Star Award recognizes talented members of the APABA-DC community, who are under the age of forty and have achieved prominence and distinction in their field while demonstrating a commitment to APABA-DC and the APA community. Ms. Rust was presented with the award at APABA-DC’s Installation and Gala Reception on September 28, 2018.

At GW Law, Ms. Rust served two years as an officer in the Asian/Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA). APALSA aims to provide academic and social support for incoming and continuing students, to assist members in job searches, and to increase Asian/Pacific American enrollment and participation at the law school.

Currently, Ms. Rust is an Associate Attorney at Thompson Coburn LLP and a Professorial Lecturer in Law at GW Law.
