Carl S. Kravitz clerked for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, in 1980–’81. He has been practicing law in the District of Columbia since 1982. Currently, Professor Kravitz is a partner at Zuckerman Spaeder LLP where he has been chairman of the firm’s litigation department for over a decade. In addition to defending clients in white collar criminal and regulatory matters, his practice is focused on litigating complex civil cases for both plaintiffs and defendants at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts nationwide. He has earned recognition as a “Leading Lawyer” for business litigation and as a “Local Litigation Star.” He has been a faculty member in numerous NITA and trial practice programs over the past 25 years. His principal public service efforts at this time are for D.C. SCORES, an organization that provides after school programs for nearly 1700 children in under-served parts of the District of Columbia.
