Carolyn Sweeney is a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where she prosecutes international and domestic white collar criminal cases. Prior to her time at the Department of Justice, Ms. Sweeney was an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of King & Spalding, LLP where she practiced in the areas of white collar defense, antitrust merger counseling, and all stages of civil litigation from the filing of a civil complaint through Supreme Court practice. She focused her pro bono practice on federal habeas corpus appeals of state court convictions. Ms. Sweeney served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Judge Charles R. Wilson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School magna cum laude, where she served as an Editor on the Journal of Legislation.
