Chris McNett is an associate at McKool Smith. He focuses his practice on patent litigation, and represents both patent owners and defendants in high-stakes patent litigation. He has experience litigating technologies ranging from standards essential wireless patents to monoclonal antibodies, and has been part of multiple trial teams winning nine-figure verdicts for patent owners. Mr. McNett also has significant experience with inter partes reviews and Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission.
He served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and for the Honorable S. James Otero at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Prior to practicing law, Mr. McNett was a software engineer in the smartphone industry. He also worked in patent licensing and acquisitions at Intellectual Ventures, evaluating and facilitating a wide range of patent transactions.
In law school, Mr. McNett served as submissions manager and line editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology.
