Jayna Marie Rust is an associate attorney at Thompson Coburn LLP who advises companies, individuals, and transportation authorities throughout the various stages of the contracting process and litigation. In particular, Ms. Rust works with her fellow attorneys and clients in recovering money owed under Federal contracts, protesting problematic contract awards, and complying with Federal laws and regulations. She also co-counsels clients on contract administration matters, including analyzing and negotiating subcontractor agreements; protecting proprietary and confidential information from competitors seeking information through Freedom of Information Act requests; and complying with domestic preference policies, such as the Buy American Act, the Trade Agreements Act, the Military Cargo Preference Act, and the Civilian Cargo Preference Act. A teacher prior to attending GW Law, Ms. Rust enjoys helping others learn new skills and knowledge.
