Polygenic Risk Scores and Genomic Prediction in Reproduction

Fri, 16 April, 2021 12:00pm

Join GW Law and the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences for a virtual presentation and discussion about the increasing use of polygenic risk scores (PRS)—numbers that estimate the effect of many genetic variants on an individual's phenotype—in genomics. Investigators and providers increasingly use PRS in biomedical research, medicine, and an emerging field called sociogenomics.

This event will feature a short presentation by Dr. Nathan R. Treff of Genomic Prediction, Inc., followed by a discussion about the use of PRS in reproductive medicine and the social and legal implications. All attendees are encouraged to participate in the discussion.
