Prashant K. Khetan is a Director & Assistant General Counsel at Capital One (a Fortune 500 fintech organization), where he is the senior member of the team that drafts/negotiates complex contracts. Mr. Khetan also serves as Business Counsel to the Enterprise Supplier Management department, a role for which he provides strategy on contracting, negotiations and risk tolerance. At Capital One, he also is the co-National Lead of CapAbilities (the employee resource group dedicated to providing resources and advocating for employees with disabilities), a frequent speaker on mental health, a mentor to employees and minority-owned businesses, and engaged in various pro bono initiatives.

After graduating from Case Western Reserve University summa cum laude with a BS in Management Information Systems and minors in Philosophy and Statistics, Mr. Khetan graduated cum laude from the the George Washington University Law School, where he was a managing editor of the Environmental Lawyer, a member of the Trial Court and Alternative Dispute Resolution boards, and a Dean’s Fellow in the Legal Research & Writing program. Upon graduation, Mr. Khetan clerked at the DC Court of Appeals. He spent more than a decade at large law firms, primarily litigating complex commercial and employment disputes, and then worked at nonprofits for nearly five years, including as the CEO and General Counsel of a wildlife conservation group. Mr. Khetan also has been an Adjunct Professor at GW Law for more than 15 years, at various times teaching Legal Research & Writing, Introduction to Oral Advocacy, Scholarly Writing and Fundamentals of Lawyering.

Mr. Khetan has two daughters, Raina and Anjali, and is actively engaged in various nonprofit/volunteer efforts.
