International Moot Court

This past weekend was a success for several GW Law advocacy teams. Between February 5-8, students received recognition in three external competitions:

2Ls Zelda Vassar and Kathryn Sadasivan reached the finals of the Gujarat National Law University International Moot Court Competition in India. Schools from around the world sent 56 teams to the competition—India's only moot court on International Trade Law. Professorial Lecturer in Law Annelies Winborne coached the students, who traveled to India through the generosity of the Gupta Endowment, which funds faculty and student international studies.

2Ls Hannah Becker and Jacquelyn Devore reached the finals of the ABA Forum on Communications Law's 7th Annual First Amendment & Media Law Diversity Moot Court Competition, which was held in Scottsdale, Arizona from February 5-8. GW Law also won this competition in 2014.

3Ls Elyse Schoenfeld and Alexander Moyer won Best Respondent's Brief and advanced to the quarterfinals in the Charleston School of Law National Moot Court Competition, which occurred in South Carolina from February 6-7. Professor David Fontana coached the team.
