I Have a Dream 50 Years Later

Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Christopher A. Bracey, is quoted in a New York Times article commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic "I Have a Dream" speech. On Wednesday, August 28, 2013 thousands gathered to participate in the commemorative "March for Jobs and Justice," followed by the "Let Freedom Ring" ceremony, including remarks from President Barack Obama, and former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
