The Kahan Health/FDA Law Fellowship at GW Law provides students interested in health law an opportunity to grow their interest and commitment through dedicated health law research, networking, and intensive faculty mentoring opportunities.
The following students were chosen for this year's fellowship. Read more about them below.

Amanda Lee, 3L
Amanda is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Psychology and Public Health. Amanda has interned for the HHS’s Medicare Operations Division Departmental Appeals Board and Children’s National Hospital. At GW, she serves as a Writing Fellow, an articles editor of GW International Law Review, and treasurer of the Moot Court Board. Amanda also formerly served as the president of the Student Health Law Association. She is passionate about privacy and digital health and will continue to explore these interests next year as a returning health and life sciences associate at McDermott Will & Schulte.

Jacob Outwin, 3L
Jacob is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in kinesiology. Before law school, Jacob worked at the Michigan Performance Research Laboratory, where he collaborated with tech-industry partners to collect development data for wearable devices. Since beginning law school, Jacob has interned with the United States Air Force Office of Special Trial Counsel and worked as a summer associate at Hogan Lovells. At GW, he is also a Managing Editor for The George Washington Law Review. Jacob is interested in life sciences industry regulation and excited to pursue this interest after graduation, returning to Hogan Lovells as an associate in fall 2026.

Jaylah Richie, 3L
Jaylah is a graduate of Dillard University, where she studied Criminal Justice and English. Jaylah has interned in the chambers of the Honorable Judge Errol Arthur, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and in-house working on health technology issues. At GW, she formerly served as the President of the Black Law Students Association and as a Student Attorney in the Health, Justice, Policy and Advocacy Clinic. Jaylah is the Editor-in-Chief of the GW Journal of Energy and Environmental Law. She is passionate about expanding health access and she is looking forward to continuing her work in the health technology space.

Sean Kim, 2L
Sean is a graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Global Health. He has interned at Animal Outlook investigating linkages between human and animal health, primarily in the context of USDA regulation. Sean is also a joint-degree student at GW pursuing a Master of Public Health in conjunction with his law degree. As a law student, he serves as a Writing Fellow and is a member of the George Washington Law Review. Sean’s health interests include insurance, food and drug safety, and public health law.

Peyton Pedrozo, 2L
Peyton is a graduate from the University of Washington in Seattle with a degree in Political Science and Journalism. Peyton has worked on quality assurance and regulatory compliance in health care supply chains. She has also interned with in-house counsel at Melwood, a non-profit focused on community inclusion for individuals with disabilities. As a law student, Peyton is a Student Attorney in the Vaccine Injury Litigation Clinic, a member of the International Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Alternative Dispute Resolution boards. Peyton’s health interests are in healthcare regulation and public health.

Moyosore Olayemi, 2L
Moyosore (Moyo) is a graduate from the University of Louisville with degrees in Political Science and Public Health. Moyo also has a Master of Public Health from the University of Louisville. She has interned for the General Counsel team at the D.C. Health Benefit Exchange Authority, supporting affordable access for D.C. residents. As a law student, she is the President of the Student Health Law Association, Co-chair of the Patricia Roberts Harris Banquet Committee, and a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. Moyo’s interests in health law are focused on healthcare regulation and the delivery of cost-effective care.
