 Explore GW Law through our admission events! Whether you join a virtual drop-in session or meet us on campus across the country, you’ll gain the insight you need to take the next step toward a legal career.

We are excited to offer Drop-In Hours with our Admissions Team over the next couple of weeks. Drop-in hours allow prospective applicants to join a Zoom meeting and ask any questions they may have. You must register to attend.

Please note that attendees will be admitted from the waiting room in the order they joined, and they will have about 5 minutes to ask any questions.

Welcome to the Let's Talk Admissions Series, designed by Dean Sim to help you navigate the admissions process. This is a five-part series that runs Monday through Friday. The first half hour of each session will be a presentation, and the second half will be Q&A. The series will be offered November 3 and January 5.

    • For those that have just begun thinking about becoming a lawyer, a broad overview about first year studies, law school, what lawyers do, and the bar exam.    
  • GW Law 101
    • As you explore law schools, sometimes all law schools may seem the same. What sets GW Law apart and makes us interesting
  • Admissions 101
    • This session covers the ways to apply, required documents, optimal timeline, the various standardized test options such as LSAT, GRE, JD Next, and requesting a waiver.
  • Test Optional 101
    • This session will cover the details behind our new test-optional process.
  • Personal Statements 101
    • Tips about crafting your personal statement, GW's optional Identity statement, and whether to submit addenda.  If there is time, samples will be covered, which will not be recorded.
