A one-day CLE conference will address cutting-edge FCPA issues, including the emerging legal issues in multi-jurisdictional enforcement actions, improving efficiency and cutting costs in internal
investigations, qualifying for benefits under the new DOJ corporate enforcement policy, and working effectively with forensic accountants. It will also include an hour on an ethics topic: Challenges maintaining attorney-client privilege in anti-corruption enforcement actions.

Partner, San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices, Latham & Watkins

Leslie Caldwell is a partner in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Litigation & Trial Department and White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice. Ms. Caldwell has built a national reputation as a trusted advisor regarding Internal Board and Corporate Investigations, Crisis Management and Response, white-collar criminal defense, and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other agency enforcement matters. Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Caldwell served for nearly three years in the Obama Administration as Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Criminal Division. In that role, for which she was nominated by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by the Senate, Ms. Caldwell led more than 600 lawyers charged with handling a wide range of criminal enforcement matters. She also oversaw development of DOJ policy, legislative, and law enforcement issues.
