The Role of Directors in Dealing with Business Model Disruptions
Join the Business & Finance Law Program and the Institute for Corporate Responsibility (ICR) as they present a panel discussion as a part of the Denit Trust Series Challenges of Corporate Governance.
This panel will discuss the role of Corporate Directors in dealing with actual and potential disruptions to the company’s business model. The challenge for corporate directors is not just to understand how disruptions may threaten their business models, but also to think proactively about their possible impact on the company's future strategy and viability. Topics to be addressed include what kind of information the Board needs to stay current with the changing environment in their industry, in what context are potential disruptions discussed by the board with management, and how these issues are incorporated into the company’s strategy.
